Holograms & Communication

Communication and Power
  Conflict Escalation
holograms are cool

If  two people have the same relative power currencies and decide to engage in conflict, a communication pattern emerges which escalates the conflict.

Below is an example of how communication escalates conflict.

conflict begins The parties state their positions A: I want to rent "The Sound of Music"
B: I want to rent "Cliffhanger"
defend They defend their positions by supporting their own position. A: The music is wonderful in the "Sound of Music."
B:The scenery is beautiful in "Cliffhanger"
defend by attack They defend their position by attacking the other's position A: Stalone is a terrible actor.
B: The "Sound of Music" is boring.
verbal attack They verbally attack the other's personality (throwing words) A: You must be a macho moron to like Stalone.
B:You are so old-fashion.
physical violence They physically attack each other. A:Throws an object
B:Throws a bigger object
annihilation Eliminate the other person A: Ends the conflict by eliminating the person.

The pattern is never straight.  A person may jump back and forth, but in general it moves in this linear direction.  This attack-defend-attack system of communication doesn't allow each person to use their own personal power to solve the problemThe pattern is never straight.  A person may jump back and forth, but in general it moves in this linear direction.  This attack-defend-attack system of communication doesn't allow each person to use their own personal power to solve the problem.
