Usually the initial disputants are removed personally from the violence. Many innocent people are chosen to fight for or defend someone else's positions.

The process is one of a show of force, who can throw the biggest rocks. The rocks get bigger and bigger, until they turn into nuclear bombs.

Whoever loses their strength, should lose - but, wars are eventually solved through communication anyway.

If you have a lot of power, you will win and get your perceived goal.

 Energy

Holocaust situations happen when the energy , or communication force is close to 100% effective, but the message is "negative". The velocity is squared (v2), so even a negative message will produce a great force. Negative propaganda can create destruction if the human wills it to happen, or commands it to happen, or intends it to happen. 

Conclusion  Communication energy can accelerate creatively or destructively. The balance of communication is to understand that the messages we send to ourselves and to others are powerful. The Bible says that the world was created by the Word of God. That's pretty powerful. If the world is to be destroyed, it will be because of "The Word." Words can make you do things, they send energy into the universe that creates or destroys.
